Wesley Snipes Appeal Set for November

    WESH.COM

    June 30, 2009

Arguments in Wesley Snipe's appeal of his three-year sentence on tax charges will begin in front of the Court of Appeals in Atlanta in November, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

A jury in Ocala convicted the action star in February of three counts of willfully failing to file his income taxes. Snipes has remained free on bond during the appeal and has been allowed to travel as a judge decided he was not a flight risk.

Snipes owes the U.S. government millions in back taxes and federal prosecutors want him to pay more than $200,000 in court costs.
